Publication of Papers & Confidentiality

In accordance with Instrument of Governance 17:

A copy of the following is available for public inspection in the Learning and Resources Centre at the College during normal office hours in term time and by arrangement during holiday periods;

  • The agenda for each Governors’ meeting.
  • Draft minutes of each meeting once they have been approved by the meeting Chairman.
  • Signed minutes of each meeting.
  • The papers and reports considered at each meeting.

Any item deemed by the Chairman or members of the meeting to be confidential may be withheld from public inspection subject to the agreement of the Clerk.

Such items shall include any material relating to:

  • A named person employed at or proposed to be employed at the College.
  • A named student at, or candidate for admission to, the College.
  • The Clerk to the Governing Body.
  • Any matter which by reason of its nature, the Governing Body are satisfied should be dealt with on a confidential basis.

The Clerk will bring to the Governing Body minutes and/or papers which have been deemed confidential, one year after such pronouncement, to establish whether they are to remain confidential.
