5 GCSEs at grade C or above to include a grade B in Maths and grade B in Chemistry or Additional Science

Course Content

Chemistry is fundamental to our daily lives and overlaps with other sciences such as biology, physics, geology and environmental science.

This lively and interesting course begins by looking at the stars and ends with a study of new materials with novel and exciting properties.

This course will enable you to see the relevance of chemistry beyond the laboratory, building on your knowledge of atomic structure, chemical banding and reactivity. You will learn about complex chemical systems which make up our environment. Chemistry is everywhere!

Where will my course lead?

AS or A Level Chemistry is essential for many science degrees such as Medicine and is a valued qualification in its own right. It is also valued by employers because of the analytical and numerical skills students develop.
