5 GCSEs grade A-C, grade B in GCSE French and a grade C in English Language

Course Content

This course is designed to encourage you to develop the knowledge and skills acquired at GCSE. It will give you a useful insight into another culture.

You may cover such areas as travel and tourism, sport, hobbies, entertainment, traditions and healthy living. You will look at contemporary France and such issues as multiculturalism, immigration, integration and racism along with social issues such as wealth, poverty, law and order and the impact of scientific and technological progress.

Where will my course lead?

This subject combines very well with a wide range of subjects. It is useful in a wide range of Higher Education courses such as Business Studies and International Relations and many degrees include an optional year/term in France.
