5 GCSEs at Grade C, 1 of which includes a GCSE in Art and Design, Art Technology, and a portfolio of work

Course Content

Graphic Design is the communication of information and ideas by visual means. The fundamental requirement for a graphic designer is the ability to communicate messages effectively via images and words.

We are constantly exposed to images to persuade us, to sell to us and to instruct us. You will be introduced to a variety of process and approaches to enable you to progress toward creative independence.

This course introduces you to a variety of processes, techniques and approaches to the subject including:

  • Digital imagery
  • Printing
  • Image manipulation
  • Modelling
  • Layering
  • Research techniques
  • Critical responses
  • Layout

Where will my course lead?

You can progress directly from A Level to an Arts Degree. Employment options range from Illustration to Product  Design to Special Effects.
