Course Content

"History is who we are and why we are the way we are."
David McCullough

Historians are a bit like detectives - using evidence to interpret what happened and understand why. You will have to be able to evaluate evidence, decide how useful it is and come to conclusions based on what you have studied. You will cover a variety of subjects from the 18th to the 20th Century.

Where will my course lead?

History students may go on to study History at University or degrees in Economics, Politics and Law. History degrees are the most popular non-Law degree for those entering the Legal profession. In employment, the skills gained evaluating materials, making judgments and articulating arguments, are prized.
