Sociology is the study of society. It is an enjoyable and illuminating subject. It will help you understand the world around you. You will study theories about human behaviour, poverty, crime, power and social change. Sociology will make you question your own ideas and the ideas of others.

It will give you the skills to better understand the way we live and interact with each other.

Where will my course lead?

Sociology will help you to progress onto Higher Education to study Sociology or many other degree subjects. It is an ideal qualification for those wishing to enter into occupations such as teaching, public services, the civil service, journalism, youth work, social work and nursing.
