Course Content
The BTEC Extended Diploma is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and qualities that you need for work in the health care and social sector. It will give you the chance to explore the career opportunities in health care related professions. You will also undertake work placements. You will study a range of units that may include: Anatomy and Physiology, Physiological Disorders, Nutrition, Safeguarding Adults and Promoting Independence, Complementary Therapies.
Where will my course lead?
You may progress directly into employment in the health and social care sector or onto Higher Education.
Students in the past have gone onto degrees in Nursing, Physiotherapy and Teaching.
