The College

One of the oldest educational institutions in the English speaking world, Ludlow College can trace its history back to about the year 1200.

In 1977 the co-education Grammar School became a genuinely "comprehensive" Sixth Form College, the major provider of 16-19 education in South Shropshire. Resourceful responsiveness to changing needs has always been the College's raison d'être.

The College seeks to provide for everyone over the age of 16 opportunities for education, training and recreation. It remains a genuinely 'open access' college.
