The College offers a stimulating and supportive environment in which to learn. Last year more than £750,000 was invested in improving and developing new and existing facilities which include a new fitness suite with state-of-the-art equipment, a new media centre - complete with extensive Mac suite, refurbished science block as well as a training kitchen and Mortimers restaurant.
This year the College has been awarded over half-a-million pounds to further develop the facilities. The grant from the Education Funding Agency's Building Condition Improvement Fund is only awarded to designated sixth-form colleges and will be used to develop the teaching areas used for childcare, art workshops and sports facilities within the existing historic buildings as well as other general infrastructure improvements.
Principal Ian Peake commented, "This is a very welcome substantial capital grant for Ludlow College, which will enable a number of classrooms to be fully modernised for next year's students. This award is particularly helpful because we have a significant increase in applications for our A level courses. Our new, larger student cohort will benefit from further improvements to the superb Ludlow College estate."
