Apprenticeships - Are they for you?

Ludlow College provides a range of Apprenticeships at intermediate, advanced or higher levels.  You can choose from Business and Administration; Customer Service; Children and Young People’s Services; Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools; Adult Social Care and Hospitality and catering.

The programmes include practical experience and functional skills in Maths, English (and ICT if appropriate).  Apprentices also learn about employment rights and responsibilities as well as developing personal thinking and learning skills.

The full-time programmes offered are aimed at learners who wish to gain qualifications so they can progress into employment or onto a full Apprenticeship programme. The courses available to study are designed to meet local employers’ needs so students will gain the skills they need to progress in their chosen careers.

Apprenticeships allow you to earn a wage whilst learning new skills and gaining a qualification.  Employed Apprentices will get paid by their employer; usually at the same rates as other new entrants to work. As well as this you have the security of knowing that your employer is also investing their time in your future.
Ludlow College is proud of the successes of students engaged on our Apprenticeship programmes.  They have shown that it is possible to achieve great things through their commitment and enthusiasm.  Successes have included working for Michelin starred chefs in top London restaurants, to completing University Foundation Degrees and managing residential homes.
