A Level Geography - Isle of Wight 2019
Students spent 3 days at the cosy and friendly Medina Valley Centre on the Isle of Wight for their A Level Geography fieldwork trip, which is a compulsory part of the curriculum.
The students studied the beautiful and varied coastline looking at geology, processes of erosion, coastline management techniques. They also studied vegetation succession in the salt marsh. Over the three days of fieldwork the students were able to have hands-on experience, learning the important field skills they need for their Independent Investigations, understanding sampling techniques, statistical testing of results and how to present their data. Oh and the food is pretty good too!
