Geography students awarded Scholarships to study at Aberystwyth University
Ludlow College are delighted to annouce that two students have been awarded Ludlow College Partnership Scholarships to study Geography at Aberystwyth University.
The scholarship is new for 2020 and in recognition of the close relationship Ludlow College has with Aberystwyth University and to celebrate winning University of the Year 2019 for teaching quality. Ludlow College's lucky recipients are Ellie Pearce and Georgia Wood who were nominated by their Geography Subject Tutor Naomi Andersson.
Naomi said, "It was a wonderful surprise to get a letter from Aberystwyth University, recognising our partnership, we've enjoyed having lecturers visit us for a number of years and we are delighted to have been selected for a Partnership Scholarship award. The recognition for the students is really valuable and will I hope give them confidence to go on and achieve great things in their chosen fields of Geography."
The Ludlow College Scholarship Award for Aberystwyth University is worth £2000 per student paid in the first year on enrolment is in addition to any other bursaries and scholarships all students can apply for from Aberystwyth University.
Aberystwyth University has thanked Ludlow College for their ongoing support with the new Scholarship for Aberystwyth University. They said, "We are pleased to be able to celebrate our good relationship, and very much look forward to developing it further in the future."
